Centrales en gateways voor smart home
Smart home centrales en gateways zijn het middelpunt van jouw slimme huis. Een smart home centrale wordt ook wel een smart home hub, smart home basisstation of smart home controller genoemd. Hiermee verbind je verschillende slimme apparaten. Zo kunnen ze met elkaar communiceren en kun je ze vanuit één app bedienen. Sommige smart home hubs kun je ook met stembediening bedienen. Als je dit wilt, kijk je voor een hub met een platform met een home assistant. Bijvoorbeeld Google Assistent of Amazon Alexa. Een gateway werkt als brug tussen je slimme apparaten en het internet. Dit apparaat vertaalt signalen tussen apparaten die niet direct met elkaar kunnen communiceren. Zo kunnen slimme apparaten met Zigbee via een gateway communiceren met een wifi-netwerk.
